The Cognition Institute and COMET have released a discussion document from the recent Auckland Education Summit. The document outlines what needs to happen in order for education to make a fuller contribution to Auckland’s future.
Its core recommendations are to:
- develop an education and skills framework for connecting what Auckland’s education sector delivers to the Auckland Plan, and
- set simple and clear goals for incorporation into the Auckland Plan.

COMET and the Cognition Institute are now setting up a leadership group that will develop this education and skills framework and identify activities that will deliver the education options Aucklanders need, regardless of their current levels of achievement.
